First Session, JCI Falls 0.25% to 6,032


The Jakarta Composite Index, in the first session of trading on Wednesday (7/7), fell 15.22 points or 0.25% to 6,031.89.

One hundred ninety-six stocks were up, 262 stocks down, and 166 stocks unchanged. The total transaction volume reached 21.98 billion shares with a transaction value of Rp8.83 trillion.

The weakening of several sectoral indices dragged the JCI down. The index with the deepest weakness was printed by the Energy Sector IDX, which fell 1.34%.

Meanwhile, five other sectoral indexes that strengthened with the biggest gain were the Technology Sector IDX, which increased 0.72%.

Meanwhile, the top gainers in the LQ45 were PT Wijaya Karya Tbk (WIKA) up 3.57%, PT Ace Hardware Indonesia Tbk (ACES) up 3.37%, PT Chandra Asri Petrochemical Tbk (TPIA) up 2.88 %.

Among the top losers in the LQ45 were PT Aneka Tambang Tbk (ANTM) down 3.63%, PT Merdeka Copper Gold Tbk (MDKA) down 3.51%, PT Adaro Energy Tbk (ADRO) down 3.1% .
