First Session, JCI Falls 0.19% to 6,247


The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) in today's trading session, Monday (8/3), closed down 11.77 points or 0.19% to 6,246.97.

Of all traded stocks, 198 stocks were higher, 255 shares weakened, and 161 stocks were unchanged. The total trading volume reached 17.46 billion shares with a total market turnover of Rp6.54 trillion.

Five sectors of the stock have survived into the green zone. Meanwhile, five other stock sectors are in the red area.

The stock sectors with the largest increase were the plantation sector which rose 1.19%, the trade sector rose 0.47%, and the basic industrial sector rose 0.42%.

Meanwhile, the sectors with the most weakness were the mining sector, which fell 2.59%, the construction sector was down 0.53%, and the consumer goods sector decreased 0.40%.

Stocks among the top gainers in the LQ45 included PT AKR Corporindo Tbk (AKRA) (8.53%), PT United Tractors Tbk (UNTR) (5.96%), PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk (JSMR) ( 3.95%).

The shares included in the LQ45 top losers were PT Vale Indonesia Tbk (INCO) fell 5.24%, PT Aneka Tambang Tbk (ANTM) declined 4.13%, PT Merdeka Copper Gold Tbk (MDKA) was down 3.46%.

Foreign investors recorded net sales of Rp164.09 billion in all markets.

The stocks with the largest foreign net sales were PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BBCA) worth Rp57.4 billion, PT Diamond Citra Propertindo Tbk (DADA) Rp41.8 billion, and PT Vale Indonesia Tbk (INCO) Rp41.2 billion.

The stocks with the largest foreign net purchases were PT United Tractors Tbk (UNTR) amounted to Rp77.9 billion, PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia Tbk (BBRI) Rp54.5 billion, and PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (TLKM) Rp10.8 billion.
