First Session, JCI Falls 0.66% to 6,054.82


Jakarta - The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI), in the first trading session on Monday (13/9), weakened 40.05 points (0.66%) to 6,054.82

Two hundred twenty-two stocks rose, 261 stocks weakened, and 163 stocks remained stagnant. The total transaction volume reached 11.85 billion shares with a transaction value of Rp5.26 trillion.

JCI was carried away by the weakening of nine sectoral indexes. The technology sector weakened by 1.44%. Only two sectoral indices were still in the green zone until this afternoon.

The top gainers in the LQ45 were PT Media Nusantara Citra Tbk (MNCN) which rose 1.75%. PT Indo Tambangraya Megah Tbk (ITMG) increased 1.46%. PT Medco Energi Internasional Tbk (MEDC) gained 1.24%.

Meanwhile, the top losers in LQ45 were PT Summarecon Agung Tbk (SMRA) which fell 3.98%.  PT Chandra Asri Petrochemical Tbk (TPIA) slid 3.13%. PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia Tbk (BBRI)  declined 2.91%.
