First Quarter, BSI Sharia KPR Financing Rp38 Trillion

PT Bank Syariah Indonesia Tbk has distributed subsidized and non-subsidized Griya Hasanah financing in the first quarter of this year, amounting to Rp38 trillion, up 13.93% YoY.

Griya Hasanah is a BSI housing finance product with a special margin and a tenor of up to 30 years. People who want to buy a landed house or apartment can obtain this product.

President Director of BSI Hery Gunardi said that this Sharia KPR has proven to be resilient amid a pandemic, seen from the double-digit growth, 13.93%. Sharia KPR is still robust because of the subsidized KPR facility, which is supported by various government stimuli.

"The government's stimulus in this housing segment makes us optimistic that it will continue to nourish the national housing business. Moreover, the vaccine program is running smoothly, " Hery said in an official statement in Jakarta, Wednesday (14/4).

Hery is optimistic that this year's double-digit growth will be in line with the projection of economic growth in 2021, estimated at the level of 4.5 - 5.3%.

"Until the end of 2021, we are targeting Griya financing of Rp39.8 trillion," he added.

He added that currently, BSI has several special financing programs to attract people to use sharia products to buy houses.

"We have issued special programs to make it more attractive, especially the younger generation, to want to use sharia products to own a home. BSI is committed to providing the best housing finance solutions for millennials, and this is one of our ways to become friends for the younger generation in meeting their financial, social and spiritual needs, "he explained.

BSI is also actively involved in the distribution of subsidized housing finance (KPR Sejahtera). This year, BSI targets the KPR Sejahtera distribution to reach 14 thousand customers with a value of up to Rp2 trillion.
