First Half 2021, BCA Net Profit Rises 18% YoY to Rp14.5 Trillion

PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BBCA) in the first semester of 2021 posted a net profit of Rp14.5 trillion or grew 18.1% compared to the same period the previous year.

BCA President Director Jahja Setiaatmadja said that in line with profit, the company posted a 3.8% YoY net interest income growth to Rp28.3 trillion in the first semester of 2021.

On the other hand, non-interest income decreased slightly by 1.2% YoY to Rp10.2 trillion.

"This decrease was the impact of the one-off gain from the sale of the mutual fund portfolio recorded last year, but most of it could be offset by the increase in fee and commission income," he said in a statement on Friday (23/7).

In total, operating income was recorded at Rp38.5 trillion, up 2.4% from last year.

Overall, total third-party funds grew 17.5% from the same period last year to Rp895.2 trillion, driving total assets up 15.8% YoY to Rp1,129.5 trillion at the end of June 2021.
