State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) Minister Erick Thohir said Indonesia's sovereign wealth fund (SWF) focuses on national assets.

"Indonesian SWF is different from the sovereign wealth funds of neighboring countries. The SWF we have formed is a sovereign wealth fund that focuses on national assets, "said Erick at the 7th Indonesia Islamic Economics Forum, which was held online, Friday (22/1).

According to Erick, SOEs are committed to accelerating investment in Indonesia, but the financing is not through debt but rather seeking additional capital by finding strategic partners.

If there is investment through SWF in various national assets, then the positive impact must be felt by the community and entrepreneurs who are close to these assets' location.

"This is what we hope for how we can create friendly investments. I hope, that with a large market that is the strength of Indonesia, it is time for us to become a producer country, "he said.

To become a producer country, he emphasized the importance of market support, logistics, and funding.

"Therefore, the continuity that we are doing together is a strength and balancing act, as well as a new force to grow the Indonesian economy, and be competitive. We will continue to build a balanced Indonesia, which is committed to equitable economic growth," said Erick.
