End of Week, JCI Closes Rising 0.64% to 6,030.77
Indonesia - On Friday (20/8), the Jakarta Composite Index rose 38.45 points or 0.64% to 6,030.77.
There were 278 stocks up, 204 stocks down, and 167 stocks unchanged. The total trading volume reached 27.32 billion shares with a turnover of Rp13.56 trillion.
Five sectors indices improved, lending support to the JCI's gain, while five other sector indices fell.
PT Tower Bersama Infrastructure Tbk (TBIG) (7.77%), PT XL Axiata Tbk (EXCL) (3.85%), and PT Medco Energi Internasional Tbk (MEDC) were the top gainers among the LQ45 stocks.
The top losers in the LQ45, included PT Adaro Energy Tbk (ADRO) (-2.32%), PT Bukit Asam Tbk (PTBA) (-1.86%), PT Timah Tbk (TINS) (-1.73%).
