PT Dian Swastatika Sentosa Tbk (DSSA) posted a loss for the year attributable to the parent entity of around US$83.8 million throughout 2020.

In 2019, the company made a profit of US$50.2 million. Based on the DSSA financial report, on Thursday (29/4), the company's loss was triggered by a foreign exchange loss of US$14.681 million at the end of 2020 compared to the previous year, a foreign exchange loss of  US$2.031 million.

In addition, the company experienced a loss on disposal of investment in subsidiaries which reached US$70.089 million, and interest income more than doubled or from US$19.582 million to US$9.787 million.

The company also suffered a lower operating income of around 9.54 % to US$1.507 billion from US$1.666 billion in 2019. However, the company managed to reduce the cost of goods sold by about 9.82 % to US$979.397 million in 2020 from US$1.086 billion.

By the end of 2020, the company's total assets reached US$2.
