DEWA: Coal Export Ban Will Not Disrupt Operations


Jakarta - PT Darma Henwa Tbk (DEWA) stated that operational activities continue to run normally despite the ban on coal exports.

"Until now, the coal export ban, which takes effect on January 1-31, 2021, has had no material impact on operational activities, financial performance, or business continuity of the company and business entities," said DEWA Chief Investor Relations and Corporate Secretary Mukson Arif Rosyidi, quoted in the disclosure of information in Jakarta on Thursday (6/1).

According to him, the company's clients do not only export coal. They also have a market share and some coal sales contracts. Thus, the company is still asked to continue operating as usual by the client.

In addition, there is no potential for default on contracts with customers, suppliers, or other related parties due to the coal export ban.
