INKA, Barata, BNBR to Develop Components for EV


Jakarta - Two state-owned companies, PT INKA, PT Barata Indonesia, and PT VKTR Mobilitas Technology (VKTR), a subsidiary of PT Bakrie & Brothers Tbk (BNBR), agreed to cooperate in the development and manufacture of automotive components based on electric vehicles.

INKA Finance Director Andy Budiman said the three companies agreed to collaborate in developing automotive components, especially electric vehicles, to create an ecosystem for the electric vehicle component industry.

"For the first phase of the collaboration, it will be implemented on electric bus transportation made by INKA," he said in his statement in Jakarta on Friday (9/16).

Furthermore, the scope of the cooperation between the three companies includes developing automotive components, especially for electric vehicles, to test the performance and durability of the components. They also produce the implementation features designed for electric vehicles.
