Bumi Serpong Bags Marketing Sales of Rp 5 Trillion in 2020

PT Bumi Serpong Damai Tbk (BSDE) posted pre-sales or marketing sales of Rp6.5 trillion last year.

The residential segment, particularly landed houses, is the highest contributor to pre-sales figures. This segment contributed 65 percent, amounting to Rp4.2 trillion.

Director of Bumi Serpong Damai, Hermawan Wijaya, said that the marketing sales figure throughout 2020 reflected 90 percent of the target of Rp7.2 trillion. These targets were set at the beginning of the year, before the pandemic, and were not revised downwards.

"This is a positive achievement amid the pandemic throughout 2020," he said in his statement in Jakarta on Tuesday (26/1).

Another sales segment, namely the commercial segment, contributed 32 percent of Rp2.1 trillion. This segment consists of the home store segment of Rp1 trillion, equivalent to 16 percent, then the land plot segment of Rp644.9 billion, equivalent to 10 percent of the total.

The apartment segment (strata title) and joint venture land plots each contributed 6 percent and 3 percent or Rp407.4 billion and Rp181 billion.

BSD City is an independent city area covering half the city of Paris, contributing 54 percent of the total pre-sales throughout 2020 or a major contributor to pre-sales figures. Then followed by Nava Park 11 percent and Grand Wisata 10 percent.

The other contributors are The Zora around 6 percent, Kota Wisata 5 percent, Grand City Balikpapan 3 percent, Taman Banjar Wijaya 2 percent, Apartment Southgate 2 percent, The Elements 2 percent, Taman Permata Buana 2 percent and Legend Wisata 2 percent.

Hermawan added, throughout 2020, pre-sales performance recorded significant growth in the fourth quarter of 2020. During the last three months of 2020, BSDE managed to record pre-sales of Rp1.8 trillion.

"The increasing public optimism over the handling of the pandemic and our strategy to present new products accompanied by a national promotional campaign has succeeded in attracting consumers to get quality housing/property in the areas we manage," said Hermawan.
