Jakarta - PT Bumi Resources Tbk (BUMI) stated that it had processed the payment of the 16th loan amounting to US$101.4 million through a facility agent on January 10, 2022.

"This payment represents a principal loan of US$95.9 million and an interest of US$5.5 million for Tranche A," said BUMI Director Dileep Srivastava in a statement on Tuesday (11/1).

According to Dileep, the payment in January was the highest amount ever made by BUMI due to the improved situation in the coal sector and efficiency.

With the payment of the 16th quarter, BUMI has now paid a total of US$545.2 million in cash, consisting of Tranche A principal of US$378.2 million and interest of US$166.9 million, including accrued interest and unpaid interest.

"Meanwhile, the next payment for Tranche A will be due in April 2022," he added.
