PT Bukit Asam (Persero) Tbk posted a decrease in profit for the year attributable to the parent company owners throughout 2020 by around 41.17% to Rp2.386 trillion compared to the previous year reached Rp4.056 trillion.

Citing the financial report published on Friday (12/3), the low-profit achievement was triggered by the company's operating income weakening by around 20.48%, from Rp21.787 trillion to Rp17.325 trillion.

Nevertheless, the company managed to reduce the revenue costs during the last year by around 10.002% from Rp14.176 trillion to Rp12.758 trillion.

Also, the company succeeded in obtaining a share in the net profit of associates and joint ventures amounting to Rp481,272 billion as of the end of December 2020 compared to the same period last year of only Rp179.455 billion.

As of the end of December 31, 2020, the company's total assets were recorded at Rp24.056 trillion or around 7.82% lower than the previous year's Rp26.098 trillion. This was triggered by the decline in the company's current assets by about 28.37%, from Rp11.679 trillion to Rp8.364 trillion.

Meanwhile, the year-end company cash and cash equivalents decreased by around 8.74% from Rp4.756 trillion to Rp4.340 trillion.
