BTPN Cancels Plan to Sell Rp4 Trillion Bonds

Jakarta - PT Bank BTPN Tbk (BTPN) has stopped the ongoing public offering of Sustainable Bonds IV with a total value of Rp4 trillion.

Corporate Secretary Eeng Yulie Andriani said that the target for raising funds through ongoing sustainable bonds is Rp5 trillion. Meanwhile, the realization of funds that it successfully obtained thru Phase I of Sustainable Bonds IV in 2019 was Rp1 trillion.

"Thus, the unissued Sustainable Bond IV is Rp4 trillion," he said in an IDX disclosure in Jakarta, Thursday (13/1).

He explained that the company decided to stop the Sustainable Bond IV based on the OJK circular letter No. 20/SEOJK.04/2021 dated August 10, 2021 regarding stimulus policies and relaxation of provisions related to issuers, and that now is not the right time to issue bonds because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

"The COVID-19 condition has affected the company's fund availability schedule," he said.
