BRIS Eyes to Raise Rp5 Trillion from Rights Issue


Jakarta - PT Bank Syariah Indonesia Tbk (BRIS) plans to raise funds through additional capital by providing rights issue I of Rp4.999 trillion.

Based on the company's prospectus released on Thursday (12/8), BSI issued 4,999 billion new series B shares or 10.84% of the issued and fully paid capital after rights issue I.

The exercise price for the rights issue I is Rp1,000 per share.

Bank Mandiri Tbk, as the owner of 20.905 billion shares or representing 50.83%, stated that it would carry out rights issue I. BNI owns 10.220 billion shares and will also exercise part of the Preemptive Rights.

Shareholders who do not exercise their rights will be diluted to a maximum of 10.84%.

The company will use the rights issue I proceeds to be channeled into financing to support the company's business growth.
