PT BRI Agro Tbk posted a net profit growth for the current period attributable to owners of the parent entity in the first semester of 2021 by 31.06% to Rp26,219 billion from the same period last year, Rp20.004 billion.

The financial report published on Monday (9/8) showed that the increase in net profit was supported by the increase in net interest income and premium income by around 34.21% to Rp43,681 billion and Rp323.120 billion.

BRI Agro's operating profit also almost doubled or from Rp24.771 billion to Rp40.933 billion.

Unfortunately, BRI Agro had to bear the high other operating expenses of around 31.63% or from Rp298.349 billion to Rp392.728 billion.

BRI Agro's total assets reached Rp25.403 trillion, with liabilities of Rp21.064 trillion and equity of Rp4.338 trillion. Meanwhile, the position of cash and cash equivalents at the end of the period was Rp1.758 trillion.
