BPS: Indonesia Economy Grows 3.51% YoY in Jul-Sep


Jakarta - The Central Statistics Agency BPS reported that the Indonesian economy in the third quarter of 2021 grew around 3.51% on an annual basis (YoY).

"Economic growth in the third quarter experienced a slowdown compared to the economic growth in the second quarter of 2021 which grew by 7.07% YoY," said Head of BPS Margo Yuwono through a virtual press conference on Friday (5/11).

He detailed the Indonesian economy based on the amount of Gross Domestic Product (GDP) based on current prices in the third quarter of 2021, which reached Rp4,325.4 trillion or based on constant 2010 prices Rp2,815.9 trillion.

The health services business and social activities recorded the highest growth of 14.06% in terms of production. In terms of expenditure, the component of exports of goods and services also grew by 29.16%.

When compared to the previous quarter of this year, the Indonesian economy in the third quarter of this year grew by 1.55% (QoQ)
