Bank Negara Appoints BNI Sekuritas Advisor for Managing NPL Asset Portfolio

Jakarta - PT Bank Negara Indonesia  Tbk appointed PT BNI Sekuritas as lead advisor in selling a portfolio of non-performing loan assets.

"The transaction value is Rp65 billion," BNI Corporate Secretary Mucharom said in a statement released on Tuesday (1/3).

He explained that BNI plans to innovate in handling non-performing loans by implementing portfolio sales transactions for bad credit assets to address potential risks following the relaxation of bank credit restructuring and the continued high level of uncertainty in the global and domestic economies.

"A consultant service that will act as a lead advisor to support this implementation is required," he said. "In this case, it will assist BNI to carry out various activities related to the implementation of transactions."

BNI Sekuritas has financial advisor business and licensing activities in the capital market sector, becoming lead advisors.
