BNI to Control 63.92% of Bank Mayora Shares


Jakarta - PT Bank Negara Indonesia Tbk plans to take over 1.198 billion shares, representing 63.92% of the total issued and fully paid shares in PT Bank Mayora Tbk.

The company's brief prospectus published on Tuesday (25/1) stated that the lender will carry out the plan by acquiring new shares issued by Bank Mayora for 1.029 billion, or 54.90%.

In addition, BNI will buy as many as 169.078 million shares owned by the International Finance Corporation (IFC) in Bank Mayora.

This acquisition plan will seek shareholder approval at the GMS to be held on March 15, 20222. On the same date, Bank Mayora conducts the GMS for approval of the takeover.

Meanwhile, the bank will apply for a takeover permit from OJK on March 18, 2022. The signing of the deed of the takeover of Bank Mayora and the deed of sale and purchase in April 2022. Also, the takeover will be effective in May 2022.
