Jakarta - Bank Indonesia noted that Indonesia's External Debt in July 2021 grew at a slower rate of 1.7% (YoY) or US$415.7 billion, lower than the growth in the previous month of 2.0% (YoY).

"This development is mainly due to the slowdown in the growth of the Government's external debt," said Head of the BI Communications Department Erwin Haryono in his statement, Wednesday (15/9).

According to Erwin, the government's external debt position in July 2021 reached US$205.9 billion or grew 3.5% (YoY), slowing compared to June 2021 growth of 4.3% (YoY).
