BI Maintains Benchmark Rates 3.5%


The Board of Governors Meeting of Bank Indonesia on 24-25 May 2021 decided to maintain the B1-7 Day Reverse Repo Rate (BI7DRR) at 3.5%, the deposit facility interest rate at 2.75%, and the lending facility rate at 4.25%.

"This decision is consistent with the predicted low inflation, as well as efforts to maintain the stability of the rupiah exchange rate and accelerate economic recovery efforts," Bank Indonesia Governor Perry Warjiwo said in an online press conference on Tuesday (25/5).

According to him, BI will continue to optimize the accommodative mix of monetary and macroprudential policies and accelerate the digitization of the Indonesian payment system to strengthen further efforts to recover the national economy.
