Jakarta - Bank Indonesia recorded economic liquidity or money supply in a broad sense (M2) in July 2021 at Rp7,149.2 trillion or grew 8.9% (YoY).

"The growth in the money supply in July 2021 was mainly due to the narrow money supply component (M1) of 14.9% (YoY) and quasi money of 6.8% (YoY)," said BI Executive Director Erwin Haryono in a statement on Wednesday (25 /8).

Net foreign assets and lending mainly influenced M2 growth in July 2021. Net foreign assets grew by 4.3% (YoY), and lending grew by 0.3% (YoY).

Meanwhile, net bills to the central government grew 38.7% (YoY), higher than the previous month's growth of 38.4% (YoY).
