IDX: 25 Companies Plan IPO in 2021

The Indonesia Stock Exchange said  that a number of twenty five companies in the pipeline will carry out an Initial Public Offering (IPO) this year.

Director of Corporate Assessment of the Indonesia Stock Exchange  I Gede Nyoman Yetna said the IDX  saw several reasons behind prospective issuers wanting to carry out an IPO in the second semester of 2021, one of which was related to the national economic recovery.

"Economic recovery and continued growth in the second half of 2021 are expected to provide a positive climate for the Indonesian Capital Market ecosystem. Data from Bank Indonesia shows that national economic growth in 2021 is estimated at 3.5% - 4.3%," he said in his statement on Thursday (5/8).

Furthermore, Bank Indonesia estimates global economic growth this year to be 5.8% or a slight increase from the previous estimate of 5.7%.
