Sritex Loss Shrinks 93% to US$60 Million in Jan-Jun


Jakarta - PT Sri Rejeki Isman Tbk (SRIL), or Sritex, recorded a decrease in current period loss attributable to owners by 93.20% to US$60,210 million at the end of June this year from the same period last year, which reached US$886.124 million.

The company's financial report released on Monday (8/29) stated that the low cost of g[oods sold approximately doubled or from US$724.320 million to US$355.900 million, as the driving force behind Sritex's decline in losses.

Operating loss also shrank by around 93.08% to US$58.633 million from US$848.314 million.

Unfortunately, net sales slumped about 33.69% to US$348.898 million from US$526.212 million.

Meanwhile, Sritex's total assets reached US$1.138 billion, with liabilities reaching US$1.598 billion and a capital deficit of US$459.961 million.

Meanwhile, the cash and cash equivalent position at the end of the period was US$5,988 million.
