The Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (AGMS) of PT Barito Pacific Tbk (BRPT) approved the distribution of US$18 million dividends or the equivalent of 50% of the 2020 net profit attributable to owners of the parent company.

Barito Pacific Director David Kosasih said 2020 was a period full of challenges due to the Covid-19 pandemic, which affected various industries, including petrochemicals, especially in the early days of last year. 

In the early second semester last year, the improved market conditions and BRPT's efforts in realizing strategies for reducing operational costs, capital expenditures, and optimizing working capital, played an essential role in the company's success in generating increased net profit for 2020.
