BSi to Integrate Service System Operations in Eastern Indonesia


PT Bank Syariah Indonesia Tbk is ready to integrate and integrate service systems in the XI region of East Indonesia in stages on April 5 and 19, 2021, as a form of commitment to encourage Islamic finance and increase public literacy in Eastern Indonesia.

The unification of service systems in East Indonesia's XI region includes migration of customer accounts, ATM cards to mobile and internet banking.

President Director of Bank Syariah Indonesia Hery Gunardi hopes that this integration process can run smoothly and optimally.

"The integration of this service system is one of the steps for an operational merger and can support BSI services to run more optimally," he said in a written statement in Jakarta on Tuesday (6/4).

According to Hery, Sulawesi was chosen as one of the important gateways in integrating the BSI service system because this region is a gateway to expand business lines in Eastern Indonesia.

"This also proves that the company is focused on development that is Indonesia-centric. We hope that the presence of BSI in this region can increase the share of the Islamic financial market and public literacy in Eastern Indonesia, "he said.

The integration process emphasizes the convenience and security of customer data. During the unification process, Hery's service system integration ensures customers can carry out their normal financial activities and transactions.

Integrating service system integration in the XI region of East Indonesia on April 5 and 19, 2021, is part of integrating branch operations, services, and products nationally from February 1, 2021, to October 30, 2021.

In this regard, BSI has conducted training, IT knowledge sharing, and customer data preparation for migration.

For the first phase of service system integration in the XI region of East Indonesia, 425 thousand of the 1.2 million customers will be integrated into BSI services.

The BSI XI region of East Indonesia covers Sulawesi, Maluku, and Papua, which covers three areas: the Makassar area in charge of South Sulawesi, the Palu area in charge of Central Sulawesi, Southeast Sulawesi & Gorontalo, and the Manado area in charge of North Sulawesi, Maluku, Papua.

During this period, the original bank customers will gradually be contacted to migrate their accounts to Bank Syariah Indonesia.

For card, savings book, and time deposit facilities, customers can migrate gradually until October 31, 2021.

"We are targeting that on November 1, 2021. We can integrate the entire Sharia Bank network. Also, until the end of 2021, as many as 100% of total customers will have accounts in the new BSI system," he said.
