Bank Permata Eyes Rp10.96 Trillion from Rights Issue


PT Bank Permata Tbk (BNLI) plans to conduct a limited public offering (LPO) IX  through a rights issue of a maximum of 8.138 billion series B shares or 22.49% of the issued and fully paid capital after the rights issue.

The brief prospectus published on Friday (2/7) explained that the exercise price for the rights issue was Rp1,347 per share. The company expects to raise funds through LPO IX amounted to Rp10,962 trillion.

Based on a statement of commitment from Bangkok Bank Public Company Ltd dated April 20, 2021, as the holder of 98.71% of BNLI's shares, he will exercise all of his Preemptive Rights. Bangkok Bank had also deposited Rp10,821 trillion on December 21, 2020.

The funds obtained from the rights issue will be used to strengthen the company's capital structure and working capital, namely financing the increase in credit and other productive assets in the context of business development.
