Bank Negara Offers Mortgage Interest Rates at 4.74% for Millenials

PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk offers mortgage interest rates (housing loans) starting from 4.74% per year for millennials.

"This interest rate is fixed for the first 1 year, with an option to pay interest only for up to 2 years to make it easier for debtors to repay mortgage loans during the pandemic, with a term of up to 30 years," said BNI Consumer Business Director Corina Leyla Karnalies in her official statement, Thursday (21 / 1).

In 2020, he noted millennials aged 21-35 years filled 60% of the total BNI KPR applicants. In that year, BNI's KPR credit product, namely BNI Griya, grew by over 4% YoY, while subsidized KPR increased by more than 50%.

Last year, BNI Griya recorded positive growth with a disbursement value of nearly Rp9 trillion. The largest composition in the fixed income debtor segment is for purchases in the primary market.

Therefore, BNI is again distributing KPR for millennials through various facilities from BNI Griya this year. KPR applications can be submitted online with the BNI Griya e-Form, which can be accessed through the BNI website, BNI Mobile Banking, or type the link http://bit.ly/eFormBNIGriya.

Currently, submissions for BNI Griya via e-form have reached an average of over 2,000 applications per month. BNI also enforces instant approval facilities for top developers and a credit period of up to 30 years.

"The provision of credit also considers a segment that is relatively safe and not affected by the pandemic, so that credit quality is well maintained," she added.

Many developers also create special millennial housing projects with special designs, affordable prices, and flexible payment schemes. BNI has also prepared internal data, developer information, and population demographics based on age to target KPR potential in the millennial segment.
