Bank Mantap Eyes 497 Billion Rupiah via RIghts Issue 136.7 Million Shares


PT Bank Mandiri Taspen (BMTP) or Bank Mantap plans to increase its capital by issuing 135,993,787 new shares with a nominal value of Rp 500 per share. 


Citing the IDX's disclosure on Monday (18/1) published by the company, initially, the new shares to be issued reached 136,686,714 shares consisting of 135,896,614 new shares and issued shares in a portfolio of around 790,100 shares. 

One shareholder named Ida Bagus Made Putra Jandhana said he has no interest in buying the new shares and deposited them in a portfolio. 

Bank Mandiri plans to absorb, amounting to 69.815 million shares, and Taspen to take 66.178 million shares. The price of the rights issue was Rp3,658 per share. Thus, the proceeds from the rights issue plan may reach Rp 497,465 billion. The company also plans to increase its authorized capital to Rp819.650 billion from Rp751.307 billion previously, in line with the corporate action plan. This new authorized capital consists of 1.639 billion shares with a nominal value of Rp500.
