DBS Bank Provides US$60 Million Trading Facility to Chandra Asri

DBS Bank provides a structured trading facility worth US$60 million to PT Chandra Asri Petrochemical Tbk (TPIA), to support the company's efforts to increase the growth of petrochemical product exports from Indonesia.

"We are delighted to continue our long partnership with Chandra Asri, Indonesia's leading petrochemical company for many years. This uniquely structured trade finance solution provides Chandra Asri with the ability to reach, scale and diversify access to competitive financing," said Tan Su Shan, Head of Institutional Banking at DBS Bank, in a press release, Monday (22/2).

He hopes DBS Bank can continue to work with Chandra Asri and help more companies from Indonesia develop and grow internationally.

Meanwhile, President Director of Chandra Asri, Erwin Ciputra added, this loan facility is different from the usual trade facilities, where the facility structure provided to the company integrates a combination of trading products to deliver solutions according to needs.

"This answers the company's trading needs and provides flexibility for Chandra Asri to upgrade this facility quickly at a time when the company's export growth increases in the future," said Erwin.

He assessed that DBS Bank's excellent track record in understanding client needs, running complex structures, combined with their focus on long-term partnerships, has been and continues to be a key element of DBS Bank's strength.

"Therefore, we are pleased to continue our strong relationship with DBS Bank through an elegant and innovative structured trading facility, which supports our strategic plan for growth in exports of petrochemical products," he said.
