Bank Capital Eyes Rp1.99 Trillion from Rights Issue


Jakarta - PT Bank Capital Indonesia Tbk (BACA) aims to raise funds from a public offering for additional capital by granting Pre-emptive Rights IV worth Rp1.99 trillion.

Based on the prospectus published Friday (9/16), BACA issued 19.94 billion shares or 72.14% of the total issued and fully paid capital according to the rights issue IV plan.

The exercise price for rights issue IV is Rp100 per share.

PT Capital Global Indonesia (CGI) is the main shareholder with total ownership of 2.02 billion shares, or 28.67%, and is entitled to 5.25 billion shares. Therefore, CGI will exercise its rights around 3 billion shares or the equivalent of Rp300 billion.

Shareholders who do not exercise their rights by their portion will experience a decrease in ownership of around 72.14%.

Meanwhile, the use of the rights issue proceeds is for the company's business expansion by adding working capital to increase the value of productive assets.
