Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders (EGMS) of PT Astra International Tbk (ASII) today on Thursday (17/6) decided to appoint Bambang Permadi Soemantri Brodjonegoro as the company's Independent Commissioner.

"The appointment of Mr. Bambang Permadi Soemantri Brodjonegoro as the company's Independent Commissioner is effective as of the closing of this Meeting for the term of office as determined by the Company's Articles of Association," Astra management said in an official statement.

The position of commissioner is effective from the closing of this EGMS until the 2023 Annual General Meeting of Shareholders, except for John Raymond Witt and Stephen Patrick Gore until the 2022 Annual General Meeting of Shareholders, and Bambang Permadi Soemantri Brodjonegoro until the 2024 Annual General Meeting of Shareholders.
