The policy of relaxing the sales tax on luxury goods (PPnBM) for cars is the driving force behind PT Astra International Tbk (ASII)'s car sales in June 2021.

"The increase in car sales at the wholesales level in June 2021 compared to the previous month's sales was more influenced by the addition of supply to dealers," said Head of Corporate Communications Astra Boy Kelana Soebroto in Jakarta on Thursday (14/7).

According to Boy, the PPnBM relaxation policy can boost Astra Group's car sales figures until the end of this year.
