Aneka Tambang Spends Rp25.86 Billion on Gold, Nickel Exploration


PT Aneka Tambang Tbk (ANTM), until July 2021, spent Rp25.86 billion for exploration costs. Its exploration activities focused on gold, nickel, and bauxite commodities.

Based on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) Information Disclosure (12/7), the company carried out exploration activities in Pangkor, West Java, Tapunopaka, and Pomalaa, Southeast Sulawesi, Buli, North Maluku, and Tayan, West Kalimantan.

"Antam's exploration activities in the second quarter of 2021 focus on gold, nickel and bauxite commodities and Antam also manages forest area permits in prospect areas with an initial unaudited contest amount of Rp25.86 billion in the second quarter of 2021," said the Corporate Secretary ANTM Yulan Kustiyan.

In the Mount Pongkor area, Antam conducts gold exploration activities. Activities carried out include subsurface geological mapping, geological modeling, and drilling.
