Jakarta - The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) at the end of trading Tuesday (8/16) rose 0.57%, or 40.18 points, to 7,133.45.

At the market close, 191 stocks rose, 335 stocks weakened, and 163 stocks were unchanged. The total transaction volume reached 26.51 billion shares with a turnover of Rp13.40 trillion.

Increases in five sectoral indices supported the strengthening of the JCI. Meanwhile, six sectors fell when the JCI rose.

Meanwhile, the top gainers in the LQ45 index were PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO) with 10.20%, PT Sumber Alfaria Trijaya Tbk (AMRT) with 6.56%, and PT Kalbe Farma Tbk (KLBF) with 2.51%.

PT Timah Tbk (TINS) -3.58%, PT Harum Energy Tbk (HRUM) -3.55%, and PT Indika Energy Tbk (INDY) -3.52% were among the top LQ45 losers.
