Jakarta - PT Adaro Energy Tbk (ADRO) projects coal production to be around 52-54 metric tons this year.

The company has also set a coal stripping ratio target of 4.8 bcm per ton.

According to Adaro Finance Director Lie Luckman, Adaro is committed to meeting the domestic market obligation (DMO) of around 25% of the planned annual coal production.

"Our market distribution is to maintain the balance of the market portfolio in the market," said Lie in the company's presentation live 2021 on Monday (6/9).

He added Adaro would continue to look after customers in traditional markets, such as Malaysia, Hong Kong, Korea, and Taiwan. Adaro also sees potential customers in developing countries, such as China and India.

"And something that is encouraging is that in the past a year, coal sales prices in developing countries have increased sharply, and we are trying to seize this opportunity," he said.
