Bayan Plans to Allocate US$170-190 Million for 2021 Capex

PT Bayan Resources Tbk (BYAN) plans to allocate US$170-190 million for this year's capital expenditure (Capex).

The company will use most of the funds to expand the Tabang project, including constructing a 101 km haul road to the Mahakam River and a new barge loading facility on the Mahakam River.

Bayan will also use 2021 Capex to expand the stockpile capacity at BCT, acquiring four floors of the Office 8 building in Jakarta, which the company currently leases, and various other small-scale projects.

Meanwhile, the 2020 Capex budget was around US$75-90 million, which the company used to fund various expansion infrastructure in the Tabang Project. However, the company's capital expenditure amounting to US$55.4 million did not meet the company's target due to delays in obtaining a use loan permit and delays in the construction of the new Tabang coal haul road of 100 km, as well as barge loading facilities.
