State-Owned Enterprises Minister Erick Thohir said that around 8-12 state-owned companies, SOEs business entities, and sub-entities would list their initial shares (IPO) on the Indonesia Stock Exchange floor 2021-2023 period.

"In our pipeline, there are 8-12 SOE companies to IPO. God willing, with our hard work and with the support of the Stock Exchange, OJK, we can meet the target we have planned, "said Erick during the IDX Debut event of PT Bank Syariah Indonesia Tbk (BRIS) on Thursday (4/2).

According to him, the SOE company candidate for the IPO is a good company with a long-term strategy.

"And, if we look at the many SOEs sections, yes, because the roadmap is clear. Will those companies later have a long-term strategy, such as having an electric vehicle battery business and what their long-term strategy for the digital industry is, "he added.

He emphasized that the SOE IPO plan was not just an IPO but aimed to maintain the fundamentals and business sustainability. According to Eric, of the 28 SOEs listed on the Exchange currently, four of them are stumbling.

"God willing, we will continue to strive, apart from maintaining the corporation as well as its public services. Because this hard work is meaningless without our support. Because the key to this country's success is mutual cooperation," he stressed.
